The four oxen and the lion.

The moral or maxim of this fable is always watch your back and everyone else's back too. I think this because if the four oxen didn't quarrelling between themselves, maybe the four could maybe stay alive longer.

The fox and the goat.

The moral or maxim of this fable is to get what you want you sometimes have to be mean. I think this because the fox told the goat there is a drought coming and he made the goat jump into the well to be next to water and got out my jumping on the goats back, when the goat was coming into the well.

The crow and the pitcher

The moral or maxim of this fable is things don't just come that easy and you have to work at them; I think this would show a example of the maxim because the crow kept throwing pebbles into the pitcher to drink the water and after hard work, the crow was able to drink the water.

The fisher and the little fish.

The moral or maxim of this fable is when you have what you want, keep it and don't let go. I think this because the fisher wouldn't let go of the little fish, even though it might have been one of the smallest fish that he ever caught.

The wolf in the sheep's clothing.

The moral or the maxim of this fable is that people aren't always so nice and they do what they can to survive. I think this is true because the wolf dressed up in a sheep costume just to get food.

Wooden Bowls

I read the story wooden bowls. At first, I thought it was sad that the family would do that to the grandfather and no. But then, when they put him back at the dinner table I felt like they understood him. I think they are trying to tell you in this story is always think before you act. I think this because the son and daughter in law didn't think before they acted, that really hurt the grandfather.

The cares for this story I think it would be is empathy. The family showed a lot of empathy because when 4 year boy said, "Oh I am a little bowl for you a mama to eat your food from, when i grow up". Also, the family is being empathetic towards the grandfather. This lesson can be taught to anyone and this is a great story.

Ask a Geneticist

Did you know we(humans) and chimps have different amounts of chromosones but were so similar that we must gave the same amout of genes. We and chimps are 98% the same. Did you also know that Toucan's have 106 chromosones. I also learned that we divide our DNA into lots of different chromosones and that we have 2 copies of each chromosone. People have 46 chromosones and our closest relatives chimps and other apes have 48 chromosones. After I figured all this out, than I went on Brainpop. I also learned there are two types of cells; prokaryotic and eukaryotic. The prokaryotic cell has no membrane and can live on it's own. Also, the eukaryotic cell has everything like a nucleus and that we are also made up of these kind of cells.
