This article is about in the 1990's, when astronamers where searching for new plants, a astronomer David Charbonneau spotted a "super-earth". "Super-Earth" is a planet that is 2.7 times bigger than the earth. They saw a dim red star called GJ 1214 just 40 light-years away in the constellation Ophiuchus. Places that you look to find a world where life might thrive, a planet must be at the right temperature for water to exist in liquid form. Astonemers were able to further estimate of the planet's size (it's mass is 6.6 times the sun). People said it was foolish for people to categorize the planet to have no life so, if it does, astronomers will be able to look for it in unprecedented detail. Since GJ 1214b is only 40 light-years away, which is practically next door in cosmic terms, its atmosphere can be studied more closely than that of any other exoplanet, both with the Hubble Telescope and with the infrared-sensitive Spitzer Space Telescope.
My opinion with this article is that it is so cool that they found another planet and that it could have life, and that earth is the only other planet that has life is earth.
